Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires

yesterday was probably one of the most interesting discussions we ever had during cell. 'why should we set limits' [in terms of sexuality] was the topic and we talked about the consequences if things went above the limit and such. somehow we talked about the topic about virginity. yes, you heard me right.

and so, here's the thing. isn't it "funny" that virginity is always [mostly]associated with girls, and not guys? why it that so?

we also talked about the emotional scars that girls might have once they lose their virginity. what about guys? do they have the same feeling? one pointed out that guys might just have the feeling of 'guilt'/fear of getting the girl pregnant.

and how about this? which party [assuming that both are a couple] will show a bigger reaction:
(1) girl telling guy that she is not a virgin
(2) guy telling girl that he is not a virgin

as much as how the topic goes, i also believe that this is a real issue that is happening in the world today. how would you react if someone tells you that he/she is not a virgin.

will you:
(1) oh, ok - because its already a norm. if so, it is because our standards have been lowered?
(2) oh, ok - because you understand the humans make mistake and you're willing to accept him/her [taking into consideration that he/she is repentent]

what do you think? ;)
